Maximizing Capital Budgets; Modernizing Government Buildings
Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) is an innovative, proven and cost-effective approach to overcome major barriers that often prevent local and state government agencies from addressing infrastructure and energy saving improvements, including limited capital budgets. EPC is a turnkey service, through which comprehensive energy efficiency, renewable energy and distributed generation measures are made possible and often is accompanied with guarantees that the savings produced by a project will be sufficient to finance the full cost of the project.
Local Government (Municipalities)
According to Energy Star, as much as 30% of counties’ current utility bills may be paying for wasted or underutilized energy. Energy performance contracting can capture and redirect these wasted dollars to pay for needed building improvements, offset deferred maintenance and improve cash flows.
State Government
State legislation has enabled government facilities and other public sector agencies to address needed infrastructure, energy efficiency and building improvements through a competitive procurement process whereby state and local government leaders may implement integrated solutions and guaranteed results to fund needed building improvements, offset deferred maintenance and improve cash flows.
