One of Barksdale's main goals was to comply with Executive Order 13693, which states the end of the fiscal year 2025 federal installations must reduce energy by 2.5% annually, relative to the baseline of the agency's building energy use in fiscal year 2015. This project exceeded the goal representing 31% of the goal.
