1994: Formation and Early Success
Energy Systems Group, LLC was formed as a non-regulated, wholly-owned subsidiary of Southern Indiana Gas & Electric Company (SIGECO) in April 1994.
From the outset, our focus was on delivering innovative energy solutions. Remarkably, ESG became profitable within the first five months of operation, setting the stage for future growth and success.
2003: NAESCO Accreditation
In 2003, ESG became certified by the National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO) as an Energy Services Provider. This certification was a testament to our commitment to quality and excellence in the energy services industry, reinforcing our reputation as a trusted partner for our clients.
2014: Acquiring Chevron’s Federal Operations
In 2014, we marked a significant milestone by acquiring Chevron’s Federal Operations. This strategic acquisition expanded our capabilities and brought 50 talented individuals into our federal team. Celebrating our 20th anniversary that year, we looked back with pride on two decades of growth and innovation.
2023: Oaktree Capital Management Acquisition
2023 was a transformative year for ESG. We were acquired by Oaktree Capital Management, becoming a standalone company. This transition gave us greater autonomy and resources to continue our mission of delivering top-tier energy solutions. It was a significant step forward, enabling us to expand our reach and impact.
2024: Acquisitions of PacWest Energy Solutions and Yearout Energy
As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we are excited to continue our growth.
