Modernizing learning environments in a century-old K-12 district
Palos Verdes Estates, CA
Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District faced rising temperatures, aging buildings, and the lack of modern HVAC systems across many campuses, creating uncomfortable learning environments and poor indoor air quality. Several schools, including special-needs classrooms, required immediate cooling solutions, while outdated mechanical and electrical infrastructure limited the district’s ability to support new high-efficiency equipment. With 18 school sites and facilities nearing a century old, the district needed a phased, cost-effective plan to improve comfort, safety, and system reliability without disrupting student learning.
